New Video: Jon Conner- No Thrillz
Video: J. Cole- Sideline Story (My input, as well)
Yea so what I didn’t post it the millisecond it came out-everyone was posting it so I’m sure there was plenty of locations for you to peep it. I had something I wanted to say other than “Here goes the final video from his first project” in the post so here it goes.
The first show Cole ever had here in Arizona I was lucky enough to introduce him on this tiny ass stage when his only band was his co-manager and friend Ibrahim who was playing the music from the makeshift dj booth below the stage. That to me was probably the highlight of our friendship at the time because I’ve always believed that he was going to get what he deserved in the business because he has always been such a great human being.
A week prior to Sideline Story hitting shelves I sat down with Cole and talked about the journey he had taken just to get here and how he felt to which his reply was ” Can you believe we here? Crazy right?”. Then as my twitter mentions were going off letting me know he had put my name in the Thank You section of the album booklet, my mind was blown. He didn’t even give me a heads up that was gonna happen nor did I expect that honor, considering I played his show on my little 3 hour show which is on from 1-4 am on Fridays. That took over the highlight moments, of course.
This video though, is perfect in my opinion. As long as I’ve been an acquaintance of Cole I’ve seen his career go from being that new kid on the block, to the new sensation with a dope mix tape, the most doubted on the net, to the artist that shut the critics up by selling over 200 thousand in the first WEEK.
The journey has been a long one for this guy and at this point you’re either a fan or your not. His style and flow is something to be reckoned with if you haven’t figured it out by now- plus if you’re cool on him there really shouldn’t be shit to talk unless you’re in a position that he’s surpassed. I’m not saying you will never be a successful rapper, I’m just saying maybe you’ll be a successful bank teller or lawyer in the future but the hate really needs to subside by now.
Fan first, fam always- Sideline Story the video is just a small glimpse of what he and his team have been through. Even if you don’t like him, you have to respect the hustle and give credit where it’s due.
My new highlight, seeing all the fans worldwide in this video who believe in the kid as much as I do to create a lane for himself in the land of dreamers. I can’t wait for the new album, it’s going to be monumental I’m positive.
Until then take your ass to the store and cop Cole World: The Sideline Story.

Video: Pharoahe Monch feat. Jill Scott- Still Standing
It’s amazing to me the people who are in this world doing what they do regardless of the odds against them. In this video, Pharoahe gives us an inspirational depiction of what he might have went through when he was younger, battling asthma. Still Standing is available on W.A.R. ( We Are Renegades) via iTunes Now…
